A new global symbol has been launched to identify reusable packaging and reuse systems. Developed through the Rebrand Reuse initiative led by PR3: The Global Alliance to Advance Reuse, the symbol is now being introduced across reusable packaging formats and reuse infrastructure to help improve consumer recognition and participation. McLaren Racing and Deloitte unveil a roadmap to build a circular Formula 1 car. The Circular Car Roadmap explores how reuse, remanufacturing and material recovery can be embedded across the lifecycle of a Formula 1 vehicle, from design and manufacturing through to end-of-life recovery. Read more.

Bosch enters the certified pre-owned e-bike market through a partnership with Rebike. The initiative introduces a digital certification programme that provides verified information on battery capacity, mileage, ownership history and system data, helping increase trust and transparency within the refurbished e-bike market. Tersus expands its footwear recommerce operations with a dedicated processing facility. The company has opened a 31,000 sq ft facility supporting footwear inspection, cleaning, repair, refurbishment and fulfilment, alongside new partnerships with Topo Designs and Trove. Read more.

Emirates repurposes more than 88,000 kilograms of plastic into new inflight products. The airline’s closed-loop recycling programme collects damaged meal service items from flights and transforms them into new trays, bowls and dishes containing up to 25% recycled content for reuse across its global network. The European Commission is reviewing VAT rules to support circular economy activities. Proposals under consideration include measures designed to encourage the donation of unsold goods, reduce waste and create more consistent VAT treatment across EU member states. Read more.

Veolia completes its $3 billion acquisition of Clean Earth. The deal doubles Veolia’s hazardous waste treatment and recycling business in the United States, adding a nationwide network of facilities serving industrial, commercial and environmental markets. Read more.

DMD Systems Recovery acquires Lifespan International to expand its ITAD platform across North America. The deal adds lifecycle management, refurbishment, resale, data destruction, recycling and reporting capabilities to DMD’s reuse-first IT asset disposition offering. Read more.

Rare earth recycler REEcycle moves towards a public listing through a business combination with Hall Chadwick Acquisition Corp. Return Helper raises $4 million to expand its cross-border returns platform. The funding will support the company’s expansion into Australia and other international markets, alongside further investment in AI-powered returns management and recommerce capabilities. Read more.

Trosort wins eBay’s 2026 Circular Fashion Fund. The Belgian startup will have the opportunity to receive a $300,000 investment from eBay Ventures to scale its AI-powered textile sorting technology, which helps automate garment identification and improve textile reuse, repair and recycling workflows. Circular11 secures €2.7 million to scale the conversion of low-grade plastic waste into construction materials.
