European Parliament gives final approval to new automotive circularity rules. New vehicles will be designed for easier repair, reuse and recycling, with phased targets for recycled plastic content and greater use of materials recovered from end-of-life vehicles. Read more.
UK commits up to £50 million to strengthen critical minerals supply chains. Funding will support domestic extraction, processing and recycling projects, alongside a new Rare Earth Magnet Hub to advance magnet manufacturing and recycling. Read more.
UK and Netherlands strengthen collaboration on circular economy finance. Signed during London Climate Action Week, the agreement will establish a shared framework to support lending and investment in circular business models across both countries. Read more.
Emirates Global Aluminium opens the UAE’s largest aluminium recycling plant. Capable of processing 185,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap annually, the Al Taweelah facility will recycle post-consumer and selected pre-consumer scrap into low-carbon aluminium products. Read more.

Ward acquires four waste and metal recycling sites. Adding facilities across the Midlands and Yorkshire, the expansion increases the company’s UK network to 12 locations. Read more.

Redo raises $81 million at a $1.25 billion valuation. Originally launched as a post-purchase platform focused on returns and exchanges, the company will use the funding to accelerate AI development, international expansion and broader post-purchase commerce capabilities. Read more.
AMP Robotics seeks up to $75 million in funding. Structured as a convertible note from existing investors, the financing will support the company’s AI-powered robotics business for the waste and recycling sector. Read more.
